Kari Anderson Kari Anderson, President Since 1993, Kari has worked as an executive for seven nonprofit charitable organizations supporting health, education, social services and athletics. She’s been responsible for every type of special event that a nonprofit charitable organization could hold, including annual meetings, 1,000+ attendee galas, fundraising breakfasts, motorcycle poker runs, walks, marathons and celebrity golf tournaments. With each event she’s attended – as a staff member or as a guest, she’s seen the need for effective, affordable software to assist nonprofits in reaching their goals. And, she’s seen an opportunity to better connect nonprofit groups with the communities and philanthropists that support them.

Kari is passionate about the nonprofit sector, and is thrilled to bring Blacktie Northwest programs and services to the Northwest. Blacktie Northwest operates in Washington, Idaho and Oregon, and serves as a connection point for nonprofit organizations, the communities they serve, and the philanthropists who support them.

Born and raised in Montana, Kari received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Washington Nonprofits, the Idaho Nonprofit Center, the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce and serves as a board member with Opera Coeur d’Alene. While not strategizing with clients, Kari can be found searching for powder turns, globetrotting with her husband, riding her Harley-Davidson’s (Beulah and Maude), and cooking.
